At this time, only live cover stud services are available. In the future, semen straws or artificial insemination services may be available.
Our herd is tested annually for CAE, CL, Johne's, and Coxiella (Q fever). Any doe who is to be serviced by one of our bucks must be tested free of all five of these diseases. The test must be dated within two weeks of the scheduled breeding. If the timing of the last test is greater than two weeks, another test must be performed and results received prior to the doe entering our farm. If you need help testing your does, please reach out to us and we'll be happy to help!
Does may be bred during a heat cycle, if prior arrangements can be made. If this is not possible, she may be boarded until breeding occurs. The boarding fee is $50 per week, charged as a whole unit. If she stays for two days, the whole week will be charged, no refunds. This is in addition to the stud fees. Again, the doe must be tested clean of the above listed diseases prior to entering our farm.
Successful breeding is not guaranteed. Our bucks are used for our own breeding, and we know they are fertile. However, we cannot account for factors that may affect the doe's ability to conceive or carry to term. We recommend you have your doe fully checked out by a veterinarian prior to trying to breed. We also cannot account for climatic or other factors that may temporarily affect a buck's fertility, such as weather patterns. If one of our bucks breeds your doe, and she cycles again within 30 days, we will offer one additional breeding, as long as she has been retested and free of the above five listed diseases. We cannot offer another attempted breeding if she again fails to catch.
Stud fees vary, depending on which buck you choose. Our available bucks are registered with the ADGA, AGS, or both. We advise you ask any and all questions you may have prior to setting up breeding. We are not responsible for unexpected results due to inadequate research.
