Kidding Calendar
As a working farm, our animals are bred regularly. Most of our goats are born in the spring, though we may occasionally have fall litters. Browse below for planned and confirmed litters. If you are interested in purchasing a kid from a litter, please contact us.
Our herd is managed with biosecurity measures and minimal movement to reduce the risk of introducing pathogens. We test annually for caseous lymphadenitis (CL), caprine arthritis encephalitis (CAE), and Johne's disease. All breeding does are also tested for Q fever (Coxiella). All test results have been 100% negative for all these diseases.

Our plans for the 2024 season will lean very heavily on Sierra Aspen PS Panache. He's an older buck, at 7 years old in 2023, so we want to utilize his genetics fully before he ages out too much. We are hoping he'll contribute to our does in positive ways to move our herd forward. If you are interested in purchasing a baby from any of these litters, please send us an email.

In a partial appraisal, "Sassy" scored "V in head, "G" in shoulder assembly, front legs, feet, back, and rump, and "A" in rear legs. With this pairing I hope to improve her rear legs, while maintaining or improving other traits. In her previous kidding, I did not milk her, but she was productive enough to feed her twin kids for quick growth. She dried up with an uneven udder, unfortunately, though I suspect it was due to her kids favoring one side.

Infinity will be a first freshener in 2024. I hope to schedule a second linear appraisal to have her and my other does evaluated. In a three generation linear appraisal analysis, Infinity shows good potential for her mammary system, with other traits being "V" or "G". With this breeding, I hope to see improvement overall.

This season I will be focusing on bucks that bring in length, width, muscle, and levelness to my does. On top of this, I am looking for correct bite, good pigment and good feet, with 1x1 teats preferred. Color is always a bonus, but not a priority. This this pairing, I am hoping to improve width, levelness, and muscling. Tank is a a nice looking percentage doe, but could use a little more styling and thickness. She has produced some nice offspring, see Number Two and Number Four below, so I have high hopes for this pairing. CRCR Aged to Perfection is a very stylish looking buck with nice muscle and a level topline. Offspring from their pairing would make nice additions to any percentage herd, with potential for show.
Previously Tank has produced twins and triplets. Any bucks produced will be offered for sale, a single doeling may be retained. Offspring will be registerable as American 75%. CONFIRMED! Due: 3/28/24 Expecting: single (planning to retain)
