In terms of making soap and cosmetics, we wanted to make sure we not only knew how to write formulas properly, but how to do so safely. However, education shouldn't end there! Why HSCG?
HSCG is an organization centered around continued education in soap and cosmetics making, as well as helping crafters market their goods. This is beneficial to us not only in helping us to reach a greater audience for our products, but also in continuing our education. As HSCG members, we are able to attend conferences where we can learn more about the craft, connect with other crafters and business owners, and learn more about ingredients and products. The HSCG is also an advocate for legislation to ensure the safety of soap and cosmetics, and encourage and support best manufacturing practices. 

School of Natural Skincare

As the formulator of our products, Nicole believed her continued education was of the utmost importance. Most websites provided recipes and insufficient information, which left Nicole desiring more. This is where she found the School of Natural Skincare and their courses offering in-depth information on formulating, the science behind cosmetic products, ingredient information, and more. It took seven months after enrollment, while working full time and managing the farm, household, and family, but Nicole complete both the Diploma in Natural Haircare Formulation and Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation (certificate pending).
